Office of Pest Management - Regulation

Report

Arizona's statutes and the Office of Pest Management's regulations effectively regulate the nonagricultural pest management industry in Arizona. Arizona's pesticide regulations meet or exceed federal standards, but the Legislature should consider revising statute to allow the Office to enforce misuse of pesticides by unlicensed people. In addition, Arizona's nonagricultural pesticide regulations compare favorably with other states', but the Office believes that some statutory licensing exemptions could be further limited to help ensure public health and safety.
