Douglas Unified School District

Report

In fiscal year 2018, Douglas Unified School District’s student passage rates on State assessments were similar to the peer districts’ averages, and the District’s operations were reasonably efficient. Despite reasonably efficient operations, the District lacked adequate computer controls, which increased its risk of unauthorized access to sensitive information, errors, fraud, and data loss. Additionally, the District did not sufficiently ensure school bus passengers’ safety and welfare because it did not have a policy or systematic procedures for ensuring its school buses were properly maintained.
