As an IT Audit Intern, you will learn and apply IT best practices in audit scenarios and will continually expand your IT knowledge. You and your team will prepare findings and recommendations meant to improve IT internal controls and help ensure the security and operations of state, county, school district, and other government entities. Under the supervision of an experienced IT Auditor, IT Audit Interns work cooperatively with the Office’s audit divisions by assisting in the completion of audit assignments which involve IT systems.
Minimum qualifications include:
Actively pursuing a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, accounting information systems, computer information systems, or computer science from an accredited institution
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to learn and adapt to changing environments and audit tools and techniques
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and clients
Ability to plan, coordinate, and solve complex problems
