Recruiter
Starting Salary:
$55,000-$65,000 (depending on experience)
What You'll Do:
- Research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent.
- Coordinate, organize, and attend recruiting events and job fairs.
- Identify, recruit, and screen potential employees for specific positions.
- Interact with other divisions for training needs, scheduling, and administration.
- Assess applicants and make appropriate recommendations to division contacts.
- Conduct phone screening interviews and administer case studies/writing assignments.
- Schedule and coordinate all applicant interviews and prepare and send regrets notices as needed.
- Use the Office’s recruiting dashboard to manage and organize candidate information and activity.
- Create posts and monitor activities on LinkedIn.
- Ensure compliance with federal, State, and local employment laws as well as Auditor General policies.
- Support development and maintenance of the Auditor General’s training catalog.
What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years’ experience as a full-time recruiter.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, business management, or related field (preferred).
- Strong interest in public service and improving State government.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification (preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to work in-person with daily office attendance.
