Department of  Public Safety—Sunset Factors (October 2001, Report No. 01-29) 

This report provides information about the 12 Sunset Factors the Legislature is to consider in determining whether to continue the Department of Public Safety. The report indicates a continued need for DPS, and also summarizes the eight performance audits conducted on DPS that identify opportunities for improvement.
