Board of Medical Examiners Follow-Up Report (October 2001, Report No. 01-A)—Initial Report Issued September 1998

This report addresses the Board’s progress in implementing recommendations made by the Auditor General in a 1998 performance audit (see Report No. 98-16). While the Board has taken some steps to resolve a majority of the problems identified in 1998, continued efforts are needed to improve the timeliness of investigations, establish disciplinary guidelines, and ensure advisory letters are issued consistently and appropriately.
