The Arizona Department of Housing administers several programs that have increased affordable housing opportunities throughout the State, especially for low- and middle-income families. The Department also administers a program that improves community services and infrastructure in Arizona’s rural communities. There are good controls in place at the Department—such as training, policies and procedure, on-site inspections, and guidance documents—that ensure compliance with state and federal eligibility and monitoring requirements.
