This
report was prepared as part of the Department of Economic Security’s
(Department) sunset review which, is due on or before October 1, 2005. The
Office of the Auditor General reviewed the Department using the 12 criteria
in Arizona’s sunset law as set for in A.R.S. §41-2951 et seq. The report
indicates a continued need for the Department, notes that the Department has
met its overall objective and purpose, and summarizes the previous
performance audits conducted on the Department that identify opportunities
for improvement.
