This
audit reviewed DES’ recent efforts to implement an integrated service
delivery model and improve outcomes for the families it serves. DES’ early
efforts appear to reflect an understanding of key success factors identified
in research literature such as strong management support, and encouraging
offices to make organizational changes to improve services. In addition,
preliminary work also is underway to address information sharing issues.
Next, DES needs to identify measurable outcomes to evaluate the success of
its efforts.
