Description
Senior Auditors serve as project leaders to conduct independent and objective performance audits of state agencies and programs. Senior Auditors address difficult or complex audit issues and activities, supervise staff auditors, and report to a Manager. They prepare high quality written and oral reports to communicate work results that meet professional and office standards for clarity and completeness. 

Qualifications

The ideal applicant will have the following: 

  • A bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of specifically relevant experience with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
    OR
    Master's degree and at least 2 years of specifically relevant experience.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Ability to accept and respond to direction and feedback.

  • Mastery of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of an Auditor II or Accountant II.

In addition, candidates should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Strong research techniques.

  • Synthesize audit evidence to reach conclusions.

  • Solve problems and make decisions.

  • Interact with coworkers and auditees professionally and ethically.

  • Write clearly, concisely, and accurately.

  • Take initiative and work well under pressure.

  • Strong work ethic.

  • Responsible, organized, timely, and honest.

  • High level of technical proficiency.

  • Exemplary oral and written communications skills.
