- Reimbursement accounts — Participants can reduce taxable income by
designating before-tax dollars from their salary to reimburse themselves
for certain eligible health care or dependent care expenses.
- Deferred Compensation Plan —
Employees have the option to designate a portion of their salary to a tax-deferred investment program.
- Savings Bond Program — Employees may purchase savings bonds through
a payroll deduction program.
- Environmentally friendly discounts —
The State provides discounted bus fares and rideshare opportunities for
its employees.
- Flexible work schedules — The Office has several options for working
flexible work schedules. Each division determines eligibility
requirements for its staff. Typically, staff in the operating divisions
are provided an opportunity to work a schedule consisting of eight 9-hour
days, one 8-hour day, and a day off each pay period. Some staff are
eligible to work four 10-hour days each week.
- Up-to-date technology for each accountant/auditor
— The Office is committed to providing
its staff with up-to-date technology. The Office has a computer
replacement cycle that helps ensure that staff in each of the operating
divisions have computer equipment and software necessary to do their jobs.
- Career development
— The Office has a comprehensive training
program that ensures each staff member at least 40 hours of professional
training each year. Staff have the opportunity to select from a
catalog of training courses featuring instructors both from within and
outside of the Office.
- Professional Development Grants — Eligible employees may receive reimbursement through an in-house grant program for job-related
programs, seminars, or classes not available in-house.
- Business casual dress on Fridays
— Staff appreciate the Office's dress
policy, which allows for business casual dress each Friday.
